A QUBUS can be engraved on its bottom face with either a short text or your own logo. It makes a one-of-a-kind gift, and it's done by laser in California on the same grinder we machine.
What the engraving looks like
Every QUBUS is anodized aluminum. The laser removes the colored anodized layer and exposes the bare, bright aluminum underneath. That gives a clean, single-tone contrast mark that won't rub off.
Contrast is strongest on dark colors like Obsidian, Royal Purple or Electric Blue. On Deep Silver the mark is more subtle.
Option 1: text (+$20)
Type up to 25 characters: a name, initials, a date, a short message. Pick a font (our bold Block font or the cleaner Clean). The builder sizes it automatically: short text is big and bold, longer text gets smaller so it always fits.
Option 2: your logo
Upload a vector SVG file and place it on the face: size, rotate and move it, and see a live preview on the 3D grinder. A few tips for a crisp result:
- Vector only. Export from Illustrator, Inkscape, Affinity or CorelDRAW as SVG. Photos and screenshots can't be engraved.
- Convert text to outlines before exporting, so the letters engrave exactly as designed.
- Dark = engraved. We engrave the dark parts of your design. If your logo is white on a dark background, use Invert.
- Keep fine detail bold enough. Very thin lines may disappear at grinder size; the engrave area is about 50 × 50 mm.
You can choose text or a logo on one grinder.
